Expert Witness for Aviation Disasters

Credible. Reliable. Experienced.

The success of the aviation industry is built upon a solid foundation of safety and standards designed to prevent disasters. However, the unfortunate reality of aviation is that failures and accidents often lead to fatalities. Flying at 30,000 feet leaves no room for error. Millions of lives are at stake every day, and it’s imperative that we prevent catastrophic failures in whatever way we can.

When aircraft disasters do happen, it’s always the job of legal professionals and aviation experts to establish root cause. An investigation almost always ensues, and the liable party(s) are justifiably exposed. A reliable expert witness can eliminate any speculation or guesswork surrounding the case and provide an objective explanation of what happened.

Our Difference

Armellino Engineering works with private law firms and insurance companies to establish the cause of aircraft failures. We inspect wreckage, evaluate evidence, identify responsible parties, and assist attorneys in devising a suitable legal strategy.

We perform engineering forensic investigations to evaluate airframe failures. There are countless variables in the case of an airline disaster including but not limited to static and fatigue failure, stress corrosion, intentional or inadvertent overload, improper maintenance and inspection intervals, material defects, and many other mechanical factors. We have extensive experience working with material test labs and can coordinate testing, design of experiments and write formal test plans and reports.

Few people have the expertise to understand the implications of each of these factors and the experience to be able to piece it all together. Our broad experience and deep understanding of aviation engineering allows us to provide honest and highly credible expert testimony when necessary.
